We cast as young as 3rd grade and as old as 12th grade.

The Audition Process

Here’s what to expect on the day of the audition.

You’ll be brought in with another auditioner, your guardian, and their guardians. Everyone auditioning will have an opportunity to read for each character. You do not have to have the dialog memorized. You can hold your script during the audition.

If you’re interested in a singing part, please prepare a song and bring your own instrumental.

We will be recording your audition. We do this mostly to remember the auditions when making casting choices. All video will be deleted after casting and will not be posted anywhere.

Why a Short Film Instead of Live?

These productions started out as a live performance, but we switched to short film in 2021 due to the constraints of COVID. We had such a fun time (as you’ll see in our blooper reel below) that we decided to continue producing it this way.

Filming Schedule

• Fridays from 7-9 pm and Saturdays from 12 noon – 4 pm.
• Starting Friday, March 21 to Saturday, May 3 (Off April 18 and 19)
• Friday shoots are for Middle and High Schoolers only. Saturday is for everyone.
• Shooting will be at the Historical Society (address above).

You won’t need to be at all the shoot dates. In fact, we ask for your schedule at the audition so we can create a shooting schedule based on the actors’ availability.
